Kitchen systems & appliances
With the advances in technology and mass scale production of devices, a large number of appliances have been devised to make life in the kitchen simpler. Though they have reduced the time and risk in the kitchen work to some extent, most have not significantly reduced the time needed. Maintenance of these appliances is also time consuming.
The kitchen appliances can be classified into the following categories
- Processing the food - cutting, chopping vegetable, fish, mixing the dough. This category includes food processors, slicers
- Cooking the food - gas stoves, ovens, boilers, microwaves
- Cleaning - Dish washing
- Preservation of the food - Refrigerators
